Privacy Commitment

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2026 • Last Updated: March 2026

100% Client-Side Privacy: When you use the EV charging calculator, solar ROI simulator, or state rate matrix, all inputs, sliders, and calculations execute entirely in your local web browser. We do not transmit, log, or store your electricity bills, vehicle mileage, or calculated savings on our servers.

1. Information We Collect

At EcoCalc USA (ecocalc.online), we prioritize user privacy by collecting only the minimum information necessary to operate our website:

  • Calculator Inputs: Information entered into the interactive sliders and dropdowns (e.g., state selection, vehicle model, annual mileage, utility bill amount) is processed locally using JavaScript in your browser. This data is never sent to our backend servers.
  • Local Browser Storage: We use your browser's localStorage solely to remember your Dark/Light theme preference (ecocalc_theme). No tracking or profiling identifiers are stored.
  • Voluntary Installer Quote Requests: If you choose to submit our optional "Free Custom Quotes" lead generation form, we collect your Name, ZIP code, Phone Number, Email Address, and Homeownership status.

2. How We Use Voluntary Quote Information

Information submitted through our quote request modal is used exclusively to connect you with up to three (3) pre-screened, certified local solar energy and electric vehicle charger installation partners servicing your ZIP code. We do not sell your contact details to unrelated third-party marketers or spam lists.

3. Third-Party CDNs & Technical Assets

To ensure lightning-fast performance without server latency, our website delivers static assets via trusted content delivery networks (CDNs):

  • Tailwind CSS CDN: Delivers stylesheet styling rules.
  • cdnjs (Cloudflare): Delivers FontAwesome icons.
  • jsDelivr: Delivers the Chart.js visual canvas library.
  • Google Fonts: Delivers the Inter typography font.

These technical providers may log standard HTTP request metadata (such as IP address and browser User-Agent) necessary for network security and content caching in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

4. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have specific rights regarding personal information:

  • The right to know what personal data is collected and how it is used.
  • The right to request deletion of personal information submitted via quote forms.
  • The right to opt-out of the sharing of personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@ecocalc.online.
